When this episode aired, The Lion King musical was playing in Los Angeles only.Starting this episode, fire is presented using realistic computer-generated effects as opposed to effects emulating the construction paper appearance, as it had previously been portrayed (Although South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut had previously used realistic effects for fire).
This is also the first episode to be filmed with a digital camera, which has remained as the show's filming device.
